My stomach is really swollen and I no longer have the drains in place, how do I help get the swelling down? Right now I have a couple bags of ice on my belly hoping that will help. Do any of you have any suggestions?

The ice always helped me. You also should try to lay with your legs elevated, make sure your compression garment or binder is snug and make sure you're drinking plenty of fluids. Also try to avoid foods high in sodium. Some just tend to swell more than others. I hope it gets better for you soon.

I am 3  1/2 weeks out, no swelling to speak of. But I do have fluid built up below my belly buttion that is totally grossing me out. It looks like a waterbed. I go see me PS in the morning. I too wear my binder 24/7. Good luck!

thanks everyone, I'm thinking maybe my binder needs to be tighter, it's just really hard to make the binder comfortable enough to not mind wearing it all the time. I have mine in a comfy position now and hate to make it toooo tight

Unfortunately if it's too comfy, it's not really doing it's job.  Having good compression is key to keeping swelling to a minimum.  I second everything Renee said.  Just keep your legs up and drink lots of water.  It will get better!
