Having BR and TT on June 28 - Compression Garment?

I had to wear my binder until my drains came out (one week) then he told me to wear spanx, couldnt get them on because of the pulling. Then told to wear a girdle, got that on and it cut into me so bad, that I ended up with bruises. Went back to the spanx and it is wonderful. He did not tell me how long to wear the spanx, but I am going to cause I am much more comfortable with it on. Good Luck.

Definitely the girdles at Walmart looked more like torcher devices!!! How far out were you when the spanx were useable?

I was able to get the spanx on at two weeks to the day exactly. They are an exercise in their self for the arms and abs. LOL. I got mine at CVS and have found that they are the cheapest place. They are working just fine for me. Hope this helps, if you have any other questions, feel free to contact me. I will try to help.

WOW Marylin. How extremely generous!!! I know how it is getting ready to go a vacation, so don't go to any trouble.

You gave me a great idea to ask some of my friends that have had surgery fairly recently.

Our wls journey weight wise sounds similar. My low was 139...I bounce between 150-165 now. I'm at 160 right now and hope to get down a few more lbs before surgery...but I'm guessing I'll go up due to nervouse eating...ah those bad habits!

Bon Voyage!

This is the type I came home with after my LBL.  I liked it because it provided good support.  I used it for about six weeks and then tried different ones until I found the one that worked best for me and that could get on somewhat easily (very important).

Read this post and you can see the types I have used.  It’s more info than you need probably.  I think the waist nipper ones are good with the eyes and hooks one you're ready to move to a stage 2 garment.
