FLAT STOMACH POLL - Please join in!

I'm so glad you started this thread Melissa! I am having some lipo done on Friday to try to reduce some of my muffin top. I was wondering if I had unrealistic expectations and after reading these posts it doesn't really sound like I do. I did not have an anchor cut so I knew I was more at risk to have a problem with a muffin top.

I am flat from the belly button down... only puffy a bit from swelling which is pretty rare these days. Above the belly button I have quite a bit of fat that can be seen when standing and alot more when sitting....but not when lying down. I also wonder, like others here, if my skin has endless elasticity because of the abuse I have put it through over the years. Hopefully this lipo on Friday will take care of the problem.

Thanks again Melissa... I look forward to reading more posts!

Melissa,

I would love to comment, but I can't since I am just 4 days out. I don't think I will EVER be flat, but as long as my after pregnancy fat is Im okay.

We shall see my results in a few weeks.

When standing, I am totally flat, so much so that I can see when my bladder is full! I don't have muffin tops at my waist, but when I sit, there is a small roll of skin up above my belly button. I think that's extra fat that wasn't lipo'd. I'm okay with it though....we aren't going to be Barbies! There has to be som give here or there, right?

Thank You, Great Topic! I'm learning, looking into having my breasts done, LBL,
and probably eventually have to have thighs done.

I'm flat when I get up in the morning, but get a little poochy as the day wears on due to swelling.  I'm only 6 months out and have good days and bad days with the swelling. The more I exercise, the more I swell.  I do have a little fluff near the ribs when I sit.  But, I've seen that on some of the nicest looking bodies on the beach.  It's fine with me.

I am not flat and have a slight muffin top and I didn't have an anchor cut. I swell a lot and have more of a pooch at the bottom close to my incision. I don't love it but honestly it's amazing considering what was. I need to be happy with it - me personally just speaking for me. I went from a 12 to a 4-6.

I think it's realistic since I lost 100 pounds and was overweight my entire adult life and am over 4 and had a triplet pregnancy and a singleton.

I am flat some mornings but as the day goes on I definitely am not. I may be too early out (3.5wks) to be responding but think the poll is a great idea. Let's us know where everyone is at.

I was tight as a drum and totally flat for a couple moths after my LBL however at about the 4-5 month mark my skin loosened and now I pull it a little wanting to remove another inch or so when I sit down I have a very tiny bit over the top of the waistband however if I wear spanx I have none.
Not sure if the skin just loosened or if it is because I lost another 5 lbs since the Plastics when I stand up I am pretty darn flat but get me in a sitting position and not so much I have recently posted some bikini photos on my profile if you would like to see.

Thx this was a wonderful post and has made me feel better.

Cheers

I'm totally flat standing up and have a muffin top when I sit.  I am 11 months out from my TT revision, which had complications.  I still have swelling in the evenings and wear a compression garmet at times.

I'm pleased not to have a tummy that looks like a camel's hump.  :)

Keep on climbing, Till I reach the higher ground
