Okay, I just responded to a post on the muffin top topic listed down further below.  This got me thinking about how many of us can say we are totally flat.  I'll be honest and say I don't think I am.  People tell me I am but they don't see me naked!  I'm pretty darn close and I don't have any hanging skin but then I still swell daily. I swear that my skin will stretch forever no matter how much my surgeon slices off!  So my questions are:

How many of you can honestly say you are TOTALLY flat?
Are you flat when you sit down too or do have a muffin top (big or small...in jeans lets say)?
Do you think having some type of muffin top or roll is normal?

I've never been skinny my entire life so I really can't say how normal it is to have a roll or not.  I was born with one so need help on this one!  LOL

I really think by us answering these questions honestly people can have a more realistic view of what they can expect with their PS.  After all, we are all here to learn and help each other.

Thank you!
Melissa

I had my LBL w/ anchor cut in March and even though I still swell some, I can honestly say, my lower tummy is totally flat even when I sit. Above my belly button, I do have a small amount of fat under my breasts. I guess my surgeon couldn't debulk all the fat that high. But, I am totally pleased with my results. He worked wonders considering where I started from. I  must say that I was not at goal when I had surgery (weighed 175) but he did take over 15 lbs off and 3 liters of fat he lipoed from my back. I can't say enough on my surgeon's work. No, I am far from perfect (upper arms hang and mid thighs could use work) but having that large belly gone feels great!

I'm curious to see what the responses will be.  Usually when we do have a muffin top it is normally above the bully button anway so i bet that is where most people have any remaining excess skin.  Even if it is a small amount.

My surgeons were great too.  I would never have imagined ending up where I am today considering what they had to work with!

Thanks for sharing!

I may be too soon out from surgery to accurately answer, as I still have some surgical swelling.

I'm flatter, but not totally flat.  I never expected surgery to make me perfect.

Today was the first day of wearing tighter, non-stretch pants.  I didn't notice a muffin top, but I know that I'm not ripped either.

I am 10 weeks out from a LBL.  My surgeon took off 12.5 lbs of skin no lipo.  I have a BMI of 24.I do have some swelling but not bad.  I am totally flat standing and laying down but have a muffin top when I sit down.  The strange part is it is larger on the right side then the left.

I am two weeks out from a TT with the anchor cut, and I am flat and do not have a muffin top when I wore jeans the other night. Most of my swelling is late in the evening. I am wearing compression garments about 75% of the time, so maybe that is helping.

If I have a non flat tummy at the end it will be better than the apron of flab I carried around my waist since I was 16 after I had baby #1.

Hi M,
This is a great post! I think it's very important that people have a realistic idea of what can be acheived with plastics. I'm totally flat (except when swelling) standing and laying down I'm not only flat but even concave a little (which is SO cool!). Depending on how I'm sitting and what I'm wearing I will have a small roll of skin above my belly button sometimes, but I didn't have an anchor cut so I expected that might happen. It's so small and isn't there when I'm having good posture and sitting up straight so it doesn't bother me at all. I'm beyond pleased with the incredible work Dr. Mazaheri did. I also didn't expect perfection, and my results are far beyond my expectations. I never though my body could look this good.

I can honestly say I am flat.  But I'm very long waisted.  I've always carried my weight in my saddle bags - not so much in my stomach.  When I try on shorts, pants, or jeans that are too small, the tightness is around the hip bones when zipped and there is still no muffin top.  Since my lbl any extra skin when sitting seems to pool near the groin area instead.

I had an anchor cut and Yes, I am totally flat.

I'm flat sitting or standing, even concave at times, like I'm sucking my stomach in....especially when my stomach is empty. No muffin top.

Do you think having some type of muffin top or roll is normal?
That's difficult to answer because we all have such different body types. I think it depends on where you carried most of your weight and how tall or short you are...and what your current weight amd BMI is. I know that without the anchor cut I would have definitely had a muffin top.
