You can continue to live with all of the negative emotions and memories of your procedure...or you can begin to reframe your thoughts to make peace with it....you are only robbing yourself of any possible joy.  There are other surgeons and professionals that can help you get to a better place in life.  The doctor has moved on....I am sorry that you have these struggles....but don't let your situation rob you of the good that does exist in your life.  This is not a critique of you....I am only offering encouragement to you to move on and really LIVE YOUR LIFE and CELEBRATE the best parts of your life.  We only pass this way once....don't miss out.  Good luck to you.

I was thinking the same thing when I went through the OP's history.  Time to move on, or get counseling, or something.  You can't drag this around forever, it will eat you alive.

Nevermind??????????  you say a reputable surgeon who is featured on this forum is a butcher and then when you are asked about it and given advise on getting help your answer is "Nevermind"........You need to get some mental help before this gets too out of hand.  I think if your claims against Dr. Aly were true he wouldn't be on this site but then again why isn't he defending his self against your allegations???????  So maybe there is some truth in there somewhere but to come on here and just say nevermind each time people don't say just what you want to hear makes it hard to know what to do.  Why don't you challenge Dr. Aly to speak on here about your problem?  I do wish you well it is easy to see that you are suffering but from what I don't know.  Please keep trying to get well but find the right doctor for your illness.

I have to agree... it's a little late for a "never mind."

Your best course of action would have been to work through the process and the state medical board to follow the proper complaint process.  But to come on a message board making general accusations is not really going to get you anywhere.

I would also think that to help work through this, finding a qualified counselor would help as well.

Good luck.
