Tummy Tuck: Would You Do It Again?

I just had my LBL and arms done.  I expected recovery to be very difficult and actually, it wasn't as bad as I thought.  At 10 days out I was just using Tylenol for the pain a couple times a day.  Now I'm 14 days out and take Tylenol maybe once a day.

Even if it were as painful as I expected, based on the results I got.... abosfreakiniglutely I would do it again.

In about 2 weeks I have my second round of procedures and I am very excited to see those results.

For SURE! I love my new tummy. I am 3 weeks out and thrilled to death. I am heading back to work on Monday. I heard horror stories about how bad it was going to be and how much pain I would be in. Guess I was lucky cause it was nothing. My c sections were harder. I just posted my before and 3 week post op pics the othere day. Go take a look if you'd like. Good luck!

Still waiting to see my final results; I seem to be one of those people who SWELL terribly. Even on awakening, I can see the swelling.

Gotta be honest; the recovery was tougher than I anticipated. I am a tough girl; had natural childbirth, didn't even fill my Rx following my WLS, etc., etc.

But the muscle spasms still whooped my ass!

Feeling better now, though.....

Having a hernia will probably get most of your tummy tuck paid for by insurance. I say go for it!

The only change I would have made is I would have had the anchor cut. I hate my muffin top and I think it would have been much better with an anchor cut.

So, what kind of incision did you have?  My surgeon told me he was going to do an anchor cut.  Is that 'better' than the one you had?  Thanks for your input!

My incision is at the bikini line - no incision down the middle of my tummy - which makes for a prettier scar but everything was pulled down from the top. I just think it he had done the T shaped incision maybe I wouldn' t have my muffin top.

I would do it again In a nano second.  The pain was not that awful.  I had an anchor cut and a hernia repair.  Even with having complications it was so worth it.
