I am just 6 weeks post-op.  Now I can discontinue the support garment completely.  I returned to work at 4 weeks.  See the PS next week and hope to b released to begin active exercise...only allowed to walk at a normal pace and no water aerobics yet.  No issues with infections.  Swelling continues to decrease and I hardly have any.  Incision is wonderful.  It was stitched, so in a couple of places the stitches are coming to the surface as they disolve.  KEEP asking the question.  KEEP following directions.  KEEP the faith....you will be pleased when the healing is behind you.  GOOD LUCK.

I think you need to buy a compression garment and see if it helps. I'm surprised your dr didn't recommend it sooner. I know a lot of people swear by their garments and help reduce the swellng and discomfort. You may just need that extra support to help you feel better. I know I felt strange not wearing it those first few weeks when I went without it for short periods. I think it will really help.

You can try marenagroup.com. They have some great ones on there.

I had my surgery over 6 months ago and I still swell a lot.  I am still wearing my compression garment when I'm working my shifts as a nurse. IF I didn't I would swell immensely!  After working a 12 hour night shift I gain 7lbs of fluid,, but if I wear it, I only gain 3.

Design Veronique and Marena have great Stage 1 and Stage 2 garments.  My stage 1 garments are from Design Veronique, my surgeon gave me two of them and they cover my entire trunk area.  They have snaps so that you can pee.  Worth every penny!  I bought 2 more and then I have 2 stage 2 garmens from Marena.  If you order from Marena try the code word, SKINNY for a big discount.  Their brachioplasty garments are the best!

Thank you for the Marena discount code!!!! I am getting ready for my panni surgery on the 18th of this month and have been looking at the Marena garments, but SO expensive. I even searched for codes and couldn't find one.. So thank you very much!
Also, I appreciate all of your advice as well, since I don't know fully what to expect either.. Take care everyone!
