Received Weird Email re Rosenstock Lieberman Clinic - Need Your Input

I have an interesting perspective on R/L clinic. When I was pregnant with my twins I needed to stay in a facility that could care for me, but not at a hospital level, so I went and stayed at a PS recovery center in San Jose. I was there for 3 weeks, so I saw all of the PS patients coming and going. I will say this much, it is a MILL...they are cranking out the surgeries for sure, but everyone I met at the recovery center was very impressed with the doctors including the patients as well as the nurses who worked there, and as I was 7 months prego with twins, noone was trying to "sell" me PS.

Good Luck with whatever you decide, Costa Rica is beautiful, schedule your tourist things for Preop, it is too hot here to be sightseeing in compression garmets!

Thank you, Heather!  It's good to hear that the patients were happy about the service they received.  I have nothing against the clinic doing lots of work.  In fact, I think that's a good thing.  It sharpens their skills, gives them lots of experience.  As long as they are doing good work, then all is okay.

I can give you more information about the source of your weird email.

This was sent to you by a man named Brian Hill.  He owns the website mentioned in another reply, www.badcenteno.com .  Mr. Hill had issues with the initial chin augmentation he had with Dr Centeno.  Then he went to Dr Rosenstock for a revision of the work of Dr Centeno.  Mr Hill was not happy with that outcome.  He has been asked numerous times by various people for him to publish photos of his chin.  He finally put photos on his website.  But if you go there and look at them  you see photos of just the chin at odd angles.

He has harassed the doctors at the clinic and sent emails to various people who like the R/L Clinic.  He has tried to coerce people who are happy with the doctors at the clinic demanding that they pressure the doctors into giving him money to refund the fees he paid to R/L Clinic.  However he demands thousands more than what he paid.  The bad surgeries that he claims that Dr Rosenstock was responsible for never happened the way he claims.  He claims that Dr Rosenstock caused the death of an American woman.  In the over 30 years of this clinic's existence there has been only one death.  That death was happened because the woman withheld part of her health history.  It was information that most likely would have caused the doctor to refuse to do surgery on her. The result was that the health problems she already had and did not disclose to the doctor caused her death.  This guy has sent ugly hateful email private to people who have had successful PS with the R/L Clinic.  Even calling one lady an ugly pig. The guy is a loony tune.

Every year he pops up to harass people about the R/L Clinic.  I will bet the email you received was not even signed.  Even though it appears that the clinic has many patients they do care about their patients, they are not a mill trying to do as many surgeries a day as possible.  If something develops like an infection when consulted by the patient and or their US based doctor they are always willing to help and share information about what they did and what they would suggest to help.

The statement that they are immune to lawsuits is false.  The malpractice situation and legal system there is different that the American system.  You can sue... but if you wait until after the surgery to mention anything about malpractice suits, you will have to file through the malpractice public courts, which may take years for it to actually reach a hearing..  However if you talk to a doctor about this and an agreement is reached and then something happens that warrants a suing then you can through a private malpractice court and the suits are brought before the court within months.

In short this guy spews venom and he thinks he can destroy the R/L doctors.  This has been going on for years, and as of yet he has failed in that endevor.  Don't believe all of this.  He is a liar.

There is a lot of truth in what Mr. Brian Hill wrote. I know since I had 4 surgeries at Rosenstock Lieberman Clinic in November 2010 and all of them turned out wrong with complications that forced me to stay in Costa Rica for over 4 months. Sure some surgeries are successful and possibly the ones that are were done by Dr. Rashi and Dr. Cohen. However they don't do all the surgeries as they say they do. There are two operating rooms at the R/L Clinic and both doctors are always performing surgery together, so you are told, yet they have patients in both surgical rooms at the same time. So now you tell me how on earth can both doctors perform surgery on patient number one and on patient number two at the same time this together? They have assistants that they probably under pay who don't truly have much experience and definitely not much expertise. I know for a fact that both side of my body was NOT DONE by the same person, the incisions and stitches are very different on the left versus the right. And also don't forget how often the doctors are out of these surgical rooms and seeing patients, some return ones, some that need attention and some new ones for assessment, all this during the same time as they are performing miracle surgeries on patients. Therefore, if mother luck is with you, if your surgery is a success you possibly were bless with Dr. Rashi and Dr. Cohen working on you, on the other hand, if like mine they were a mess and after six months are still causing you extreme pain then you didn't have these doctors as surgeons. Possibly only 10% of the surgeries turn out bad but how lucky do you feel, are you going to be in the 10% or the big 90??? It's a lot cheaper for them to do too much at the same time since 8 hours of surgery to complete what would and should be done in two different surgeries at different time and date would mean that they have to clean to OR and restart all over again. So putting your health and even life in danger to save clean up and so on is worthed to them. Don't forget they really don't give a dam about what you'll look like after you leave their clinic, if they did, they would never allow someone else to perform surgery and put their name on it. So just be careful and trust your instinct along with what you read here and there as we're not all crazy.

God bless anyone who trust these two doctors and there ways..........

You are absolutely right. This guy Hill has been attempting to make money off of this doctor's practices for more than 5 years now. Check out this post about him: http://sites.google.com/site/brianhillfl/
The guy is a deceiver and obviously can't be trusted. Even in his website he says that he had Centeno's chin implant for 2 years before complaining!!! Can you believe having surgery and then two years later you start bashing the doctor as if he was aweful? That makes absolutely no sense.

The other fact is that it seems that he had more than one procedure done in several clinics in Costa Rica... Now all of a sudden none of them are worth anything? It smells real fishy to me. Anyways, checking the site you can see that the guy is absolutely insane. He just wants to make a quick buck from them.

Don't believe everything you see. In my experience, the health systems (including plastic surgery) from countries like Costa Rica are much better than those in the US. Actually take a look at the ranking by the World Health Organization here, in some things Costa Rica is better than the United States.
