? on sleeping after BR
I had a BR on May 6th. The PS said no sleeping on sides/stomach for 3 weeks. After that, I slept in my bed for 4 nights. Nights 5/6 were miserable, so I went back to the couch. After that, I have only been able to sleep in the bed about 2 times since! When did most of you find that you were able to go back to sleeping in your bed full time? on a regular basis? When I do, I get really sore! I am a big time side sleeper and I don't sleep well on my back so I am sure that is the problem. I would rather sleep on the recliner couch than on my back in bed.
Any input?? Any suggestions???
thanks!

Hi Debbie, I am about 17 days out from my BR. I have been sleeping in bed since day one but only on my back. My PS told me I could sleep however I want, but it has been uncomfortable to sleep on my sides which is my preference. I can just now lie for a short period on my side as long as I put a pillow under the upper arm. Good luck, each day gets better for me. Vicky

I didn't have a reduction but a lift. I slept in my bed regularly after about two weeks but was not given restrictions on how to sleep...just whatever was comfortable. I am a stomach sleeper so it has been hard for me; I still, at 8 weeks post op, have not had a full nights' sleep! As a matter of fact, last night was the first night I was able to lie on my stomach and sleep, but only for a short time....then, it was back to the back/side/back/side rotation that I"ve been on. My hips are SO SORE!!
I say sleep where ever you sleep best and be patient; it will come. Good luck!
