Plastic Surgeons in the Raleigh NC area

Hello everyone,

I am two years post-op and currently looking into getting a breast lift/implants, Just wondering if anyone has had plastics with or know of a highly recommended surgeon in the Raleigh/Durham/Greenville NC area.  Maybe looking at a tummy tuck as well.

Any responses will be greatly appreciated.

Hi there, first off congrats to you for your weight loss!! That's wonderful news!! Secondly and most importantly I just want you to please do your research on ANY plastic surgeons you are considering having your breast surgery by or any other surgery for that matter.  I say this because I had a (or was supposed to have I should say) a breast lift and implants after losing over 100 lbs. I had that surgery on 2/5/09 and immediately after thought they looked great and was very excited about the results, then, months later I noticed that when I bent over that the skin hung down and was droopy and wrinkled and just didn't look right at all, so I went to see him, told him of my concerns and he just said well, as long as you don't do any bending over at the beach you should be fine, I was mortified I couldn't believe this man said that to me, so anyway I made the mistake of having him do the surgery and he wasn't a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and he didn't know what he was doing, I had to have the surgery completely redone by a different surgeon so I wasted over $6,000.00 for nothing because I thought he was such a nice doctor and I loved the staff there and so yeah I made a HUGE mistake so please just do your research and make sure you are comfortable with the surgeon before you do anything. Multiple folks in the Raleigh Support Group have had surgery with Dr. Karl Schwarz and have been very happy with him.   http://www.schwarzps.com/   He also came to our support group last week and did a Plastic Surgery seminar for us.  Very informative.

I've had a consult with him but haven't had surgery yet.

Dr. Don Oschwald (www.specialistsinplasticsurgery.com) also comes highly recommended.
