I had an anchor TT on Saturday and came home from the hospital on Sunday. However, I am ina ton of pain. I thought up until now that I had a pretty high pain tolerance. I was never in much pain after my RNY or c-section.  My PS sent me home with Lortab 7.5 but they don't even take the edge off. Any suggestions? I also had a question about my drains. They're up high towards my hips, not in the pubic area where I have seen others. But anyways they're not draining anything really. Is that normal only being 2 days out?

Call your surgeon and tell them the pain meds aren't working well for you. They can give you a script for something different. I had the same thing happen to me after one of my procedures when they wanted me to try a new drug that was out and it didn't work well for me.

My tummy tuck drain was in my hip area also. Some people don't have a lot of drainage. Just make sure the lines are clear. Did they explain to you how to strip the drain line to make sure it doesn't get plugged up? You might be one that just doesn't have much drainage.

Don't hestitate to call your surgeon's office.

Glad your surgery went well but I'm sorry that you are so uncomfortable. I agree with Renee. Call you surgeon's office and have them get you a different pain med. Also tell them about your small amount of drainage. Despite, frequest milking to keep drains from getting clogged, all of my four JP drains were occluded with large clots, that made it difficult for them to drain. My surgeon was able to flush one but had to pull the ones that were completely clogged. I'm just a really good clotter, not a good thing when it comes to drains, but on the bright side, I also don't swell terribly huge. I will be praying for you. Keep us posted. God bless.
