I was so happy with my new tummy, had it done 5/25. It looked so tiny and could hardly see and strech marks. I am on week 2 and it looks bigger, I have a roll and my strech marks are really showing up. Now is this swelling or is that what happens? Will it ever be as tight and flat as it was the day I had it done? I figured once the swelling went down my stomach would get smaller not bigger.UGH!.

This really does sound like swelling.

Yes, it's just swelling... which may go up adn down fro several months before it goes away permanently.  You'll get that "tiny" tummy back once the swelling is gone for good.

I agree with the previous posters....it is swelling and may last on and off for MONTHS.

Honestly, some days my abdomen looked better pre-op than it does post-op. I'm looking at the bigger picture and trying to be patient...hope you can do the same!

Oh, and my stretch marks (particulary on my mons) got WAY more evident after the 2nd week.

Hi Raina,
I agree with the rest of the girls. It sounds like normal swelling. I am nine weeks out from a LBL and I have most of my journey posted in photos on my profile. I will friend you if you would like to view them. My swelling was pretty much gone, but I just had my second round of plastics on Tuesday so I am back at square one. Give it time. It is So hard to be patient when you have waitied so long and gone through so much to get the tummy you want. You will get it, and you will love it!
