I had my tummy tuck on 5/25 week one I was a little swollen. This is my second week and it feels like I am more swollen now than I was the first week, is that normal?

Thanks

Are you talking about swelling in your tummy or other places??  The second week my legs and feet were huge!!  But I had multiple procedures done.   My tummy swelling didn't change much the first couple of weeks. But the more I walked around and was up more the more swelling I had.   Toni

Yes Toni, just in my tummy. Seems like all of a sudden I am more swollen then I was last week. When I first had it done you could hardly see any strech marks, now they are really popping out. Thats why i am thinking I am swelling more. Plus I just feel bigger. Thanks

Oh yes - swelling is hell!  I had my TT in January - 5 months out and still have swelling.  I had to wear my compression garment a few nights last week to try to get it to go down (which it did).

Who did your surgery and where?  I had mine at Barix

Yes, that is totally normal.  I've read a lot of women on here who don't swell up fully for a week or two afterwards.  I was swollen pretty much from the time I came home.  I'm still swollen now and I'm almost 5 months out.  I'm not as swollen as I was in the early days, but still swollen none the less!  Hang in there, it will get better!!

I had a TT on 5-27 and when in on 6-2 for a check up and Doc told me it was totally normal for my legs/hips to be swelling and it would travel down my legs.

I am using ice and it seems to help.

I had my tummy tuck on 5-20 and thought I was swollen but then yesterday we went to the mall and by the time we got home I was very swollen and it jsut felt so uncomfortable. This morning I still feel swollen. My pain was never bad at any point, drain tubes were inconvenient but this swelling is worse than I thought it would be. I have seen where others get the lymphatic massages but I am not sure at what point you start and how you find someone that does this.

Totally normal. I am almost a year out from my LBL and I still swell. I had stage 2 surgery 3 months ago which I think made it start all over. Not as bad as early out and no one else can notice it but me I'm sure. I just try not to let it bother me anymore even though I hate it.
