Hi,
I'm scheduled to have a tummy tuck/breast lift-aug this coming Tuesday morning. I have been reading about the extended tummy tuck or the fluer de lis and it seems like it more addresses the above muffin top. My surgeon won't do it on me, and now I'm afraid I won't be satisfied with just the regular tummy tuck.
My highest weight was 233 and I now weigh 125. I'm 5'0 with a fat tummy. Any advice would be most appreciative.
Sincerely,
slm2b

I haven't even had my consults yet so I have no personal experience but I would think that since you are a light weight that maybe you don't need such aggressive surgery to achieve a good result?
Did you meet with more than one plastic surgeon and did they all suggest the same surgery? If not, I would pay for additional consults and perhaps change surgeons if necessary. I understand that surgeons don't want too many surgical scars close to each other as they can affect bloo circulation and healing - maybe a fleur de lis scar would be too close to a breast lift scar? I'm just guessing.
You can also post your picture here and ask others for their opinion.

Your dr really is the best one who can give a real idea of what your results will be. They have experience with all body types and knows what type of surgery you need. Now if you think he's wrong then I would go on more consults for sure just to get other opinions. Also it depends on where you carry most of your weight as to whether or not you need the anchor cut. You are very small in my opinion since I am about as tall as you and weighed almost 25 pounds more than you when I did my first rounds of plastics. All my weight was in my belly going in and I had the anchor cut and am relatively flat. If you are dead set on having an anchor cut then you probably need to find another surgeon.
Good luck!
