Sleeping flat? As in no pillows under legs or back? Wow! Are you walking straighter now?
I went out tonight with my husband to the grocery store. I felt fine just slower than normal.
I am going to sleep in my bed tonight and try it with less pillows. We will see how it goes.
Thanks for your reply and will check out the garments.
Thanks,
Jenn

I have always slept with a pillow under my legs so I really didn't give that up.  But I am only using my regular pillow for my head.   I am pretty much walking straight up and getting around pretty well.  I don't feel like a little old woman anymore!  I do notice if I have been moving around alot throughout the day by the evening I can't stand as straight though.

When did you have or surgery? I can't wait to not feel like an old woman anymore. Everyday I notice I am moving better. I did lay flat with pillows under legs last night and did feel as thought there was some pulling and/or something going on in the belly. I ended up on my side at some point. I did wear my binder to bed as well for security I guess.
Thanks for the reply,
Jennifer

I had surgery 5/18.  I haven't been able to sleep on my side yet. It is driving me nuts sleeping on my back.  I still wear my compression garment 24/7 other than when I shower.   I am noticing this past week I have been more tired than last week. Kind of strange but I remember when I had my RNY it was the same way.

I too am more tired this week than last. I worked all last week and accomplished many things. this week I feel has been a total waste.
So you are two days ahead of me from surgery.  Are  you still swollen any? I am, or atleast I hope it is swelling and not the real deal. LOL
Are you able to wear any of your clothes from before surgery? I am not able to yet and am starting to get concerned worried I will have nothing to wear. My clothes probably lack an inch atleast from being able to button and of course there is no sucking in now to get them to fit.
My son's wedding is July 3rd and my fear is I will not fit in to my dress.
Thanks for your reply!

I stil have quite a bit of swelling.  From what I hear it can last quite a while.  Yesterday was the first time I tired to wear pants that actually button instead of elastic waist and they fit but later in the day I could tell I was swelling more after being up and about, they started feeling a lot tighter.

I bet in a few more weeks your swelling will be down quite a bit. and your dress will fit beautifully!

After being to the mall yesterday with my husband to pick up his suit for the wedding the scales are up 3lbs this morning. I was on my feet too long I guess.  I feel swollen and can see it. I wear my binder as well except of course when showering.
Yay for being able to get a pair of pants on that button with no elastic waist!!! That is great. I am going to give it a few days before I try again.

I am hoping we both are swell free before long for the most part.
