list of items for recovery
I remember seeing a list of items that may come in handy when recovering from surgery. I have tentatively scheduled a TT and Thigh-lift for September 28th and want to start preparing this summer for any items I may need on hand. I hear talk of having a recliner? Is that the norm? I don't have one but am sure I could rent one if that is the way to go. Any input is appreciated. I am planning on taking 4 weeks off of work.

Concerning the recliner...my surgeon didn't specify that I need one....just said do not lay flat....use pillows and I found it quite satisfactory. Look into what your PS recommends for thecompression garment. I was given a binder in surgery, but a garment with leg openings was much more comfortable...and I had to wear it for 6 weeks. Having two is nice....wash one, wear one, etc. Just a few things I felt helpful.
Here is a list that another poster posted a while back of helpful hints that was useful during her PS. Many of us that have been around a long time have used it and it's great. There is probably more than you need but I tend to overprepare anyway. I loved the lift chair because you didn't have to mess with the lever of the recliner or the leg part to get up. I was able to get up and down with no help. I'm sure I could have managed without it but it was great to have especially since you will need to sleep in a lawn chair position for a few days.
