I am kinda more for the full tummy tuck cause out of all the responses I have recieved they are happy that the hanging lower stomach is gone but still have thbig bulging upper part..I am looking so forward to having it out smoothed out and gone and will be extremly dissappointed to wake up and see that I am still big in the stoma*****ertain parts. I have been having alot of issues of not feeling thin after I have lost 152lbs and managed to get down to 134lbs size 7/8 cause of the big belly..I so need the surgery to turn out as I have been hoping it too otherwise I may just end up very dissappointed still and sore lol...

If you are having the muscle tightenting then you are having the abdominoplasty or TT.  Both include the panni removal.  Your basic panniclectomy only includes the skin overhang/apron while the abdominoplasty includes the muscle tightening.  Depending on how your body is built and where you excess skin is located you may  or may not have good results with just the horizontal cut.  If most of your skin is just below your belly button then I think you can have good results.  If it's higher then you would benefit most from the anchor cut.  Your doctor is the one who can tell you what type of results you should expect. Your doctor should have told you whether or not they will be providing a binder or compression garment.  If not, then you should ask him.  Hopefully they will give you or should have given you post up instructions for aftercare.

Good luck!

Hi I am 64 years old and my birthday is in a few weeks.
I am looking for someone that had a panniculectomy . My consult is in Feb 2011 .

I am excited and nervous. I have a chance to get a breast lift and hernia repair also.
Please tell me about your experience.
