Sorry to hear you aren't totally happy about your panni removal. I know in order to get the best results you need to get the muscle tightening. A lot depends on how your body is built as well. I have seen some women who were going in for the full TT and only needed the panni removal because there muscles were already tight enough. Then there are those who only had the panni removal and have been totally pleased with their results. Hopefully part of that is swelling which should help with that bloated feeling. Being blue after PS is so common for many of us so hang in there!

Sorry to hear you have the blues! I too hope that once the swelling goes down you will be happier with your results.
Take care,

Hi Des,

Sorry to hear that you are feeling blue and I hope that your healing process goes as smoothly as possible and the pain lessens soon.

I am glad that you posted about your panni removal because I just got a letter from insurance clarifying that they will pay for panni removal no muscle tightening. Like you I just don't have the means to pay to upgrade to a full abdominalplasty. Costs seem to be much higher here in Hawaii because every plastic surgeon I have seen has told me that it would be an additional $16,000-20,000 to upgrade to a full abdominalplasty. I worry about the excess skin and fat above my belly button and I am meeting with the surgeon again on Thursday to discuss what I can expect with panni removal and if there is anything else we can do that won't cost as much.
Good luck on your healing and hopefully that belly bulge is mostly swelling.

Yep... had the same problem after my panni removal... not only did I have the extra skin above the waist (the "muffin top"), but I needed a mons lift as well (that the surgeon was SUPPOSED to do, but changed his mind about at literally the last minute).  I ended up paying for a TT and mons lift (along with the brachioplasty) out of pocket because I hated it so much.
