Low sodium for me. When cooking I always use No Salt. I am drinking a lot of water and getting my protein. For the most part I have my protein drinks, yogurt, boiled eggs, turkey and salads. I have lost 7.8 lbs since surgery so when the swelling goes away I am hoping for a few more pounds to disappear.

Congratulations on the weight loss and I'm sure you will lose those pounds. Just out of curiosity did you check the sodium content of some of those foods you are eating/drinking ? I would be curious to know what your total sodium consumption is for the day.

Not sure how much is too much sodium but I guess it does look like I am getting too much.
Yogurt  - 75mg,    Protein Drinks - Atkins 180mg and New Whey 10mg,    Boiled Egg -  65mg
Turkey - Sara Lee Low Sodium 4oz  -  48mg,     Salad with lettuce, onions, tomato, turkey, cheese,  and raspberry vinaigrette -  486, wow had never looked but 60 cal pudding cup is 180mg, 1 tbsp peanut butter is 75.

Breakfast - Egg & Yogurt      -    140mg
Protein Drink                           -    180mg
Lunch - Turkey & Veg.           -    100mg   6oz turkey,tomoato,no salt added grean beans
Protein Drink                           -    10mg
Salad & pudding cup             -    665mg
TOTAL                                       -   1095mg

I get in my 64 oz water as well each day. I also like a low sugar lemonade which has 15mg in 8 oz but do not have it everyday. Of course my menu changes occasionally but not too much. I really don't have much of an appetite still and will normally not finish all that is on my plate.

I'm not sure how much sodium is considered too much for the average person, but I'll see what I can find out.

This is what I found, but I'm not a doctor and you should call your PCP and see what your last labs indicated. After that I would call my PS and see what he thinks is the right amount to consume during the healing phase.

Sodium Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA)

The current recommendation is to consume less than 2,400 milligrams (mg) of sodium a day. This is about 1 teaspoon of table salt per day. It includes ALL salt and sodium consumed, including sodium used in cooking and at the table.

Regarding irritation on your binder area  wear a cami or t shirt then apply your binder. That helps somewhat.

Best wishes

I can't see the pics to comment, but he itchy skin is normal. Healing skin itches, and you may itch in more areas than just the incisions if you have been on pain killers - they can make you itch all over.

Now, if you get increasing redness any place with increasing soreness, that could be infection and you should get it checked.
