I had a Vertical Inner Thigh lift two weeks ago..While my right leg looks wonderful my left leg has huge hard lumps and extreme bruising all the way down.I did not have drains and was wondering if this is fluid buildup. My plastic Surgeon is out of town for two weeks and I canno't check with him until he returns...Any info will be appreciated.

I had one very large hard lump down my my knee and it was very tender. I asked my surgeon about it and he said it was a piece of fat that broke free and was floating there. He said not to worry and that eventually it would disolve. He was right, it did over the next few weeks.

Did you also have liposuction? The liposuction can leave the lumps and bruising and will make you extra tender and sore. The lumpiness often times dissipates on it's own with some massaging, once you can tolerate it.

I didn't have drains either and have not experienced the lumping but I know it can happen. I would massage the area gently and it should dissolve with time.

Does your surgeon not have someone on call to cover for him? If not, maybe his nurse can help.

No lipo just skin removal...I have already started massaging them with lotion and applying ice every few hours...I will check in with his nurse on Tuesday.
Thank you for the quick reply's

I had drains for weeks!  Of the three procedures I had...the thigh lift was the worst in terms of swelling/fluid output.....so swelling is very normal.....as is bruising.   I had several small nodules along my suture line for months and months...but they have all resolved on their own.  Doesn't sound like anything unusual.   Susan
