Home from panni removal
I am home surgery wise all went well,,, hospital wise, well, that's another story.
I have my binder on, and I feel like it is moving around. I am afraid it is going to pop off, and I will split apart. It is not as snug as I thought it would be. and I am assuming I have quite a bit of swelling, as my incisions are very tight! Surgeon said they took off more than 4 pounds of skin and fat, and would know how much when the report came back from pathology. I am sore, as is to be expected, but trying to be in good spirits. It is 90 and humid here today, and my wonderful boyfriend put the a/c in my room window for me. ( i think it was a little for him too) lol
As for the hospital, now thats a different story. MY surgery was almost 2 hours late. After recovery, I was told that they did not have a room for me, so I would have to stay in recovery. I kept asking for food, and all they kept saying is that they do not have food in the recovery area, so I kept telling them to get me into a damn room! I was promised a private room, and was paying for it nonetheless. Well, now I had NO ROOM????? later, about 8 pm, still in recovery, fully alert and pissed off, I asked for crackers or anything to put into my stomach, to which another nurse said, nobody ordered her a dinnr tray?? Then my nurse said well, too late now, cafeteria is closed. Finally I got into a room at about 10:30 pm, after arriving at hospital at 10 am, not a private room that I was paying for, but I was grateful to be in a room. The nurses made me toast and jam, and got me some apple juice. Poor Steven, was sent running around all day from one waiting room to another, worried about me, and not knowing my whereabouts. After al that, they sent him intio a waiting room to sleep, and nobody, and I mean NOBODY offered him a pillow or a blanket. I had to fight for a breakfast, and could not wait to get out of there as soon as possible.
Ant to top it all off, I feel like crap, feel like I am all misshapen, but know it is swelling, and now I an tired.
I wish you all a good night, and a pleasant sleep.
Dawn
Fast healing!
