Not now - Maybe a cold coming on

Sunday evening I started getting a bit of a scratchy throat.  Monday it was a bit worse but only at certain times.  I realized that where it was worse had things that triggered seasonal allergies.  Okay fine. 

I emailed my surgeon's office to find out if this will be a concern for the surgeon and what I need to do.  They told me to work with my PCP as the surgeon defers to the PCP in cases like this.

I called my PCP and left a message for her to call me back to see what I can do with OTC until I can get home to see her Thursday - which is the day before surgery.

So my question - is if I don't get any worse, what's the chance that she'll advise I postpone surgery?

Don't get me wrong, I will do what's best for my health - but I waited so long for this...It just makes me sad.

If it's just allergies, nothing viral or bacterial, and you don't have a lot of respiratory goop, I'd bet she'll tell you it's okay to proceed.  I'll be pulling for ya!

I am having the exact same issues but I now have a full blown cold and I'm home from work. My surgery in on June 1st so I hope I'm better by then.

Feel better my friend. You will be fine just take good care of yourself.

Thanks everyone.  I seem to be a bit worse.  Today I have my appointment with my PCP to see what she says.  A good bit of it still seems more like allergies though, but not all of it.
