BUT, one month from today is my surgery! I have been waiting since December so the fact that it is  just one month away is sooooooooo exciting!!!

I am having a revision of brachioplasty with much more skin pulled off and an incision fixed. Then, I am having a vertical incision from my middle of where the bra is down to the waist on each side to remove those pesky, flabby, back rolls! I just can't wait!

it will be a 6 hour surgery.....one month from today! Whooo hoooo!!

Just wanted to share my excitement since it is just 30 days away! Count down begins!

Congratulations!! I would love to have my arms and back done but for now will have to stick with my abdominoplasty done May 20th. I can't wait to see the results as I am a little concerned about how my back will look.
Again Congratulations on your upcoming surgery!!!

I'm curious.. why didn't they do the verticle incision when you had your initial surgery on your stomach?

The vertical incisions are to remove back rolls....it isn't down the middle of my tummy as some tummy tucks are done. This is a totally different procedure---one I didn't realize I would want until I got rid of my tummy and now have buldges on the back. I added this on much later.
Does this make sense? :-)

Have a great one!

Are the vertical incisions under each arm pit?

I'm curious as I would like my back fat rolls removed as well.

what is the name of the procedure for that??

congrats on your upcoming surgery

Hi there,

The quote says "excision of bilateral flank skin". We didn't feel a lower body lift would address my back issues. My butt looks good. The vertical incisions will start under each pit, I already have a scar there from my extended brachioplasty. I think they will start about where the bra ends. They will go down to the waist on each side. :-)

Would back Lipo not work so that you wouldnt have those incisions?  Just curious as that is what my Dr said .  He said lipo can fix a mulitude of issues but alot of Dr do always go that route..
Did yours mention it ?

Hi Shirl,

I asked about back lipo when I had my arm lipo. My doctor said that the rolls on my back are pure hanging skin. Doing lipo would just cause them to hang more, but would not decrease the hanging skin. There isn't any fat there and lipo is meant for people that have some fat in the area.
Does this make sense? :-)
Thanks!
