  YAHHOOOOO!!!!!

For those of you that remember - my plastic surgeon back in 2008 jacked me WAY up - I've been doing the complaint, documentation and revision thing and this month was going to be the month I filed in small claims court, because I couldn't find a lawyer willing to listen to me and tell me if I had a personal injury or malpractice case.

My mom has had a lawyer working on some real estate stuff for her, so I called the lady - we spoke back in 08, but at that time, I didn't have as much info and documentation as I do now.  She's now working with a solid local firm on some medical cases, so she now knows more and after listening to my whole story - she asked for some documentation and said she'd talk to the firm she's working some projects for.

Long story short (I know, too late! lol) They want to take my case!!!!! On a contingency basis!!!!! That means #1 - I am not crazy, I HAVE a case and #2 - they really believe I do, cause no mofo volunteers to work for free!!!!! hehehehhehehe

I want to make SURE this damn surgeon has to feel SOME pain behind this - his funky, cavalier attitude and condescension to me have been ******g me off for YEARS.  She told me the doctor they have at the firm that is a lawyer heard the name of the doc and knew EXACTLY who he was and that he is an azzhat........

I am STOKED - the possibility of the $$ is not even my focus - it may sound hokey, but I have a serious problem with a doctor doing purposeful harm and thinking it's okay to just screw someone over - especially when he knew my story - it's one thing to jack up a mommy makeover - but a WLS patient?  There's SO many more self esteem and other issues - not that jacking anybody up is right - but DAMN!!!!

Ok - just wanted to share - I am HAPPY!!!!!!

that is all.

I was with you until the "mommy makeover" thing (well, that and the "purposeful harm" thing and the "azzhat" thing).  Being a nurse I know many doctors and I doubt even the "azzhats" (of which there are quite a few) would want to do purposeful harm.  Every patient has a right to competent medical care, regardless of their motivation for seeking it. Formerly MO people are not the only who suffer self esteem issues, etc.

I hope if your surgeon really is incompetent that he is made to answer for it; perhaps thru your lawsuit, or perhaps thru some other means.

Howdy!!!!  This doc has a LONG history of messing up folk - when the doc in the law firm heard his name - he knew instantly that I probably had a solid case.

I think he purposefully screwed me over fiscally - I truly think he never intended to file the insurance and that he never really cared about my results - just my $$.

when I said it's one thing to mess up a makeover - my meaning there was that a truly cosmetic procedure is one thing - a medically necessary one, one for which the person needs functionality and mobility, not just looks - is another.  Not saying it's okay to jack up either, though - you are right - competent medical care should just be standard.

I have a Texas Medical Board investigation that is active at this time as well - so I am covering all basis - SOMETHING has to give!
