9 years of whiplash to groin after lower body lift
What Causes Piriformis Syndrome?
Piriformis syndrome is predominantly caused by a shortening or tightening of the piriformis muscle, and while many things can be attributed to this, they can all be categorized into two main groups: Overload (or training errors); and Biomechanical Inefficiencies
Or apparantly lower body lift mismanagement of groin area.

That's a side effect I was unaware of. Thanks for sharing. I have a L4,5 herniation pressing on nerves and resulting in radiculopathy/ sciatica. It's a life changing pain. And is one of the reasons I am having WLS. I don't know if I will need a thigh or lower body lift, but I will take this under advisement. I would just die if my back got better and then the piriformis muscle "pinched" my sciatic nerve. There is a website called spine-health.com that has a lot of info about back and neuropathic pain. It may provide some ideas on pain relief for you. Thanks, Tamara
