Arms your experience
I had my arms done a little over a year ago, I was back to work after a week. No problems. I had a compression garment that the Dr's gave me I wore it for about 6 weeks. I didn't think the pain was too bad. The most annoying was it was a while before I was able to lift my arms to reach stuff. I really made an effort not to put any strain on the arms so my scars wouldn't widen/pull.
I had implants and lift done this week, and since my arms were so easy I thought this would be a piece of cake and I was so wrong! I couldn't even get up out of a chair by myself the first 2 days.
Good Luck

The only cosmetic procedure I've had is brachioplasty, so I can't compare it to anything else as far as physical discomfort, BUT, I can tell you that in my experience, there wasn't any pain to speak of. It was more awkward than painful. For the first couple of days after surgery, I wasn't sure what to do with my arms or how to get up out of bed without using them! My abdominal muscles got a workout, for sure.
I still have some swelling and I had the procedure in late January. I didn't use a compression garment at all because my doctor advised against it, for some reason. I kind of worry that maybe I SHOULD have used one since I see so many people have. I'm not completely thrilled with my results, either, to be honest. I still have some slightly wobbly areas and I wonder if maybe a compression garment or even simple bandaging might have helped somewhat.
I am self employed as an artist, so I started working in small increments when I felt up to it. My arms did get swollen and tired feeling off and on during the day for quite some time, honestly. If you don't have a very physically demanding job, however, I don't think you'd have to take too much time to recover. You might feel great after a couple of weeks, even.
The cost of my brachioplasty was a smidge over $4000. I had it done here in Wisconsin and I think the pricing is vastly different, depending on what part of the country or world you're in.
Good luck to you! I hope your experience was as pain-free as mine was.
