OMG... I am so dissapointed! the surgeon seems excellent.. She did not recommend any lipo for me,  I really loved her but I will not be able to do these surgeries!  Here are the prices, all include any hospital and anesthesia fees:

For the breast lift it will be 7563

For the Tummy tuck: 10418

If I did both at the same time: 16770

I want to go in a corner and cry now!

I am so sorry, but I know how you feel. I dotn want to put myself in debt to have it done, but its hard not to think about it. I would shop around some more. Some offices have plans set up to help people like us.

GOOD LUCK!

You might try some of the research hospitals.  I am having mine at the University of Kansas and after my TT which is paid for by insurance, I'm going to do the Breastlift and brachioplasty and it will cost 7500 total.  You might try those facilities.  There are some good ones out of country; I just prefer to have mine in the states.

I'd recommend finding a plastic surgery residency program in your state and schedule a consult with them. I consulted with the UT and Baylor in Houston and you could get both of those procedures for under $10k. The prices vary by state but you really won't have an idea what they will charge until you see them.

Keep looking!

Wow, that is really high.  I'm getting a back lift, thigh lift, knee lipo, and a small revision of my brachioplasty for $8000 at a teaching hospital.  The doctor is very experienced - has been doing nothing but plastic surgery after massive weight loss for over 10 years.

I would recommend getting a couple more quotes.  I got two and my first quote for the same procedures was $13000.  That's a 5k difference!  Don't give up!  :)

Which program are you using?

I also suggest you look into teaching hospital programs; they are often much more affordable.

I paid $13,500 for extended TT, lipo, scar revision and breast lift with a private surgeon at a free standing surgery center (stayed overnight).....I know I could have gotten cheaper someone else, but I was referred to him by a friend, saw lots of examples of his work, and liked him! He did give me a small (10%) discount because I am a nurse, which I thought was nice.

Don't give up just because you got one higher-than-you-wanted quote. Keep looking.....

I called the teaching hospitals around me and asked if they had a reduced fee program and all I got were resounding NO's!!  Maybe I asked it wrong... maybe I should have just asked if the surgeon fees were lower for the students....
