Sizes lost after LBL and thigh lift?

Hello!  It's awesome some find this forum, where so many people are in the same boat - we have lost all this weight and now are plagued with this extra skin!  I lost almost 200 lbs 10 years ago doing the Atkins diet and exercising.  I know most of the people here had WLS, and I am glad that we have that kind of medical technology to give those who need it an extra boost so they can live life to the fullest.  My aunt had a GB a few years ago and her quality of life has improved about 500%!

A couple of years ago, I had a TT, breast redux, and brachioplasty.  I was happy with the TT and BR, but the brachioplasty needs some revision.  I don't think he took the incision down far enough past my elbow, and my upper arms are tighter than my lower arms.  Plus, I have points of skin at the end of the incision.

In mid June, I am having the rest of my surgery done: he is going to revise the brachioplasty by doing lipo and removing the points at the end of the scar.  I am having a back lift and a thigh lift with lipo in the knee area.

My question is this:  I have a lot of loose skin on my rear and thighs.  I didn't go down any sizes after my TT because I have always carried my weight in the hip area.  So, I wanted to know - for those who had this surgery, did you go down any sizes?  If so, how many?  Also, has anyone else had issues with their brachioplasty?

Thank you and congratulations to everyone on their weight loss!!  Wishing everyone the best of luck on this next step of the journey.  :)

Hi Becca,

Size depends on how much loose skin and tissue you have removed.  I had 9 pounds removed during my LBL and lost two sizes.  That is, of course, on the other side of "swell hell" and healing.  I still have days where I'll swell like crazy, but not enough to make my clothing uncomfortable.

Best wishes on your surgery next month.

Thanks for your responses - that is awesome!  I am a size 12 right now.  Who knows what I will be when it's done?  :D

I'm only 4 weeks post LBL so I don't know if I'm going to lose a size or not.  Actually I hope I don't lose a size because I'm already in a 4 and most stores don't carry 2's. I lost 4 pounds, don't know how much the skin weighed vice how much I lost because I didn't eat much the first week, but the PS took 9 inches of skin off my back. Size and weight changes are dependent on how much extra you have to start with.

I didn't go down a size after my LBL (Butt lift and outer thighs) because I had butt flap auto augmentation done.  The tissue that would have been removed was folded over and in to build up my flat butt.

After my TT I went down a size in my waist because of the inches removed from my stomach (it was all skin removed, no fat, no lipo).

I just had my inner thighplasty (cut to the knees) done very recently and although I'm still swollen I can already tell I'm smaller so now the pants that fit my small waist will finally fit my legs too. (I carried most of my weight in my legs and butt).

Hope that helps....
