After my lbl my mons area seems to be puffy, does anyone have this problem. I do not have any swelling anywhere, I just think it is bigger than normal. Is this normal??

Depends on the day, but I can still swell there, not as much, and i'm 6 months out. It is getting less every day, the surgeon said it could easily last up to a year.

I think mine may need lipo, just a little "puffier" than I think it should be...

Mine too. I'm wondering the same thing about mine.  Had LBL on 3/30 and I can't figure if it's swelling or needs lipo. I was also just wondering if it looks puffy because I'm just not used to seeing it LOL! It's not huge, just kind of a "puffy" appearance. I am having a full thigh lift/thoracoplasty/breast lift on 6/1 and I have my pre op with my surgeon on the 20th. I'm going to talk to him about it then. I'll post what he says.

It didn't happen to me but I've read many posts from women who did have that happen.....seems to be of the normal swelling that goes on.  Swelling stinks but at least it's temporary.

Hope the swelling goes down soon.

I had my 3 week CU after my LBL and asked my surgeon, because that's the only area that is extremely swollen on me all the time. The rest of my swelling comes and goes. He said that it is totally normal and we swell there because it's the lowest point. Makes sense.

My P.S. told me that any swelling in that area will take the longest to go away because it's at the bottom, and gravity will just make it "pool" there.  So, if there is swelling, it may take upwards of a year to go away.

For me, I realized after a LBL that I had excess fat there that I just never knew about because I couldn't see it before!  So, when I had a bunch of lipo done recently, I requested lipo in that area.  I was heavily warned that it would take a VERY long time to see any results in that area because of the swelling time.  But, I went with it anyway (didn't want another bad experience wearing a straight skirt, and seeing a "package" under my skirt!  how embarassing!).

Anyway, since March when I had the lipo, here is what I see.  For about 7-8 weeks, it was the same size as before....so the swelling just replaced the fat......so no difference in size, which was fine with me.  At least it wasn't worse.  And now, after 9 1/2 weeks, I think I am starting to see a slight improvement.  It can only get better from here!

I will warn that the tenderness after the lipo was pretty intense, for about 2 weeks.  Then it got much much better.

Good luck!

Swelling there is normal - I had a Extended TT and I am almost 6 months out and finally have no specific swelling there. I have generalized swelling over my thighs and entire TT but not the "ken doll" look as I did have for about 12 weeks post op.

So it seems it will go away!
