Well, as u all now my surgery has been moved to Thursday due to my low Iron.

TODAY, my surgeon's office (Veronica) called my and told me that the hospital made a mistake on the date and they needs to move the the next day. Now it's Friday, May 21st. WHATEVER! 24hours is not going to kill me, BUT I need to get my primary doctor to release me from today to Next week. So I'm just crossing my figures that she does do that. I've been taking my Ferrous Sulfate 325mg tablets on the dot... Have not missed any. I've been good, I even quit the coffee.

Wish me luck people. I'm so ready for this surgery.

Good luck to you!  I hope your PMD will release you!  Prayers and good thoughts for your surgery and healing and maybe something for the headache that happens with no coffee....  Good luck to you Yum and prayers for a quick and happy healing!

Our re-routed innards do not absorb Ferrous Sulfate.... You probably are not getting much benefit, if any at all.

Go to Walgreens and get Bifera.  I spoke to a Pharmicist when I was looking for iron (and got lucky I found one that knew something about WLS) and she said the sulfates won't work for us and agreed that Bifera was the best choice and would get my iron levels back up.

Good luck with your surgery - and getting off the caffeine!! UGH - I never had a problem pre-WLS with caffeine headaches, now they're something awful if I miss my coffee!
