I called the surgeon yesturday and we've set up a date. I'm getting a TT and BL on June 3rd. only 3 weeks away. I'm freaking out a little. This is something I've wanted since I've lost the weight, but I've always thought that it was unreachable, but here it is in my grasp and so close now. I am excited and scared all at the same time. I go to my cardiologist on Monday and my fam Dr. on Wed to get surgery clearance. Luckily I have alot of help from family and my sister is a nurse who used to work with a plastic surgeon, so I'm thinking of asking her to stay over my first night home. OMG 3 weeks away!!!! My surgeon is also trying to get insurance to pay for the BL/reduction I had my back Dr write me a referral to the plastic surgeon stating that getting a breast reduction and lift might help with my back pain, so lets pray that insurance agrees and at least pays that portion of my surgery, but if not I am fully prepared to pay for it myself.

Good for you! So happy that you were able to get your insuarnce to pay for your TT and BL. See..... It happened for you!

Congratz! June 3rd will be here in no time.

- My story now is that my iron is way low and I had to re-schedule my surgery from yesterday to next Thursday due to my IRON. Keep up with all your vitamins.

thanks for the reminder about my vitamins. I'm going to get my blood work done this week to make sure everything is in good range for me. I pray your iron levels go up too and you can be cleared for surgery as well.

Good luck! Definitely have your sister the nurse come over if she can. One of the nicest parts of my whole experience so far was having a nurse friend come over and help me wash up/change garments the second day. While hubbies are great, there's nothing so gentle and soothing as a nurse's gentle touch! (I'm biased, since I'm a nurse...but still!

)

I will pray for a gentle journey for you....

I really hope my sister will come over. yeah my hubby loves me but also thinks I'm a big baby when it comes to pain, but he has no idea, he's never even had as IV. oh and yeah, nurses are the best, and I'm not one but I love em all and very greatful for all you do.

Congrats! You will love your new body! Freaking out a little is very normal. I had a LBL/Brachio on 3/30/10 and am going for a BL/thoracoplasty/Full TL on 6/1. I freaked out a bit before the last surgery and tend to be doing a little freakng myself out here and there now. In the end, it is SO worth it and I would do it again in a heartbeat! I will keep you in my prayers that your insurance covers it, your surgery goes wonderfully, you have a speedy recovery and beautiful results. God bless. BTW, stay on top of the pain, get rest, and it's very important you don't forget the stool softeners.

No problem. Constipation is one of the biggest problems post op. Read Emerging Beauty's posts after her TT and you will understand the impotance of post op bowel care! lol
