I did it again today.  I wanted to build on what I did on Tuesday...didn't want to wait till next week.

I felt so much better yesterday (the day after my first massage).  My feet and ankles were visibly less swollen and I just felt better........even my toes look almost normal.  I drank lots of water yesterday and pee a lot.

This morning I did a 3.5 mile walk.  I'm a little more swollen than when I woke up but I did not swell up as bad as I had been swelling after any kind of exercise.
I had a more intense massage session this afternoon.  I feel a little headachie which the therapist said could happen because things are hopefully moving out of my body.  I've been drinking so much water since the session but not really pee'ing a lot.

I'm hopeful that tomorrow will be as good as yesterday.
So far I am liking the whole massage thing (hey, who doesn't like a good massage...LOL)

More to come next week.

I had my 2nd massage this week as well. I had an excruiating headache last nite after my massage. I figured it was from all the tension and stress of Field Day at school yesterday. I have some lumpiness and some knots in my legs so my therapist is working hard on those areas as well to try to reduce them. Once again after my session my legs felt incredibly looser than they were before. But then again by the end of the day today they were tight feeling again. I have to keep reminding myself that this is going to be totally different than my TT.I hope that your swelling is getting better and that you are reaping the benefits of your massages.

It's good to know these are helpful. I get one included in the cost of my ps, and I think I will go ahead and sign up for more.

BTW- You are doing really well in your recovery. Congrats!

I would say go for it....it does seem to be helping.  I notice I feel better the day after the session (better than the same day it is done).

Thanks for the kind words...

Nothing better then a good massage and if it's helping the swelling PRICELESS =)

I am so glad they're working!! I plan on getting them every other day - until I feel "normal" at least for the first 4 weeks post-op!!
