Plastic Surgery is not an entitlement
I work in a job that has to GIVE freebies ( IE crazy checks ) and I will tell you that i get so angry at the system in a way. Older folks who are proud and pay their bills even it it means going without food to do so cant even get a stinking food stamp because they might make 551.00 a month when the states cutouff is 550.00 .. YET, a young woman who has 5 kids , NO JOB and is trying to have more kids so she can get a check on each one gets lots of foood stamps .
It isnt those poor babies fault but they should nuture those women that do that ..'
Those same women get thier hair and nails done off those checks each month and YES i have seen a few who even got plastics and didnt pay a dime that THEY ACTUALLY EARNED.
I paid every dime of mine and just thank GOD I could without going into debt. I just do one thing at a time as I can afford to ..
SOOOOOOOO I understand all positions on this ..

As a social worker.....I see people who use the system and think bad about them...as a parent of a 6 year old with cyctic fibrosis, which mind you is considered a terminal diesease...I get irate when I see people work the system for the 1 reason that when abby was diagnosed, my world came to a halt, and knowing what I may be looking at with healthcare costs for her, I was "embarressed" to apply for medicaid. I finally did it, only to be rejected with them telling me she would have to have been hospitalized TWO times prior to her "needing" assistance. That really got to me.....I had insurance, but wanted the healthcare part ONLY for her, and even though I ahve paid into the system, it wasn't there for me. Luckily, she has been VERY healthy and I ahve not needed anything more than I have been providing for her. I was given an approval letter for my panni ONLY......by my medical plan TUFTS, only to find out the FRIDAY before my monday surgery that it was a, "computer error" Well computer error my butt...I stayed on the phone for nealry 2 hours, maybe longer fighting with them and they finally covered it. But I would have LOVED to have the TT with it...but my insurance does not coever it and I certainly do not ahve the money...but I am at least thankful for what they did pay for. Is the system broken....YES....and we are allowed to vent and state our opinions...and I think that it should be perfectly fine for you to vent them here with out judgment as we should all be supportive of one another!!
To the person who posted that other countries pay for medically necessary procedures- not true..I had a relative who was in jail in Ecuador and needed gall bladder surgery- they wouldn't do it she had to pay for it= so we sent the money...in this country you are in jail even for murder all your medical needs are taken sare of even dental....
