surgery and tea?
I'm a big hot tea drinker (my WLS left me with pouch that likes hot drinks, tolerates warm ones and hates cold drinks ) and I have been told no green tea due to the fact that it acts as a herbal anticoagulant and may cause bleeding issues or issues with wound healing. Can I still have Black tea? Chai tea? English Breakfast Tea? etc..???

I was given tea and warm milk after surgery while still in the hospital. Surgeons are different in what and when they permit certain things post op.
One issue with tea is that it is high in oxalates, which can contribute to calcium/oxalate kidney stones, which many of us are quite prone to after WLS. I've had many stones (but was also prone to them prior to surgery) and as much as I love tea, will not drink it because of the oxalates.
