Upcoming surgery - getting a bit nervous!

On May 18th I'll be having an extended TT, BL & BA.  Funny how I was not a bit nervous before my RNY but I am feeling so nervous for this one!  

I am planning on 2 weeks off of work..or I should say I plan on a few days off of work and then work some from home for another week.   Hopefully my expectations of how I am going to feel are not too high. 

Any advice from those of you that have had this done?

I had an extended tummy tuck but haven't had a BL/BA. For my TT, I could have probably gone back to work in 2 weeks. I teach so I was off for the summer. The big thing was, it was really hard for me to stand up straight. What kind of job do you have?

I am an HR manager so just a typical desk job.  I figure I can always start back a few hours a day and work from home too if I need to. It's just easier to actually be in the office.

Not to worry about the nervousness.  I would be surprised if you weren't!  You should be fine in about 2-3 weeks but asd for standing straight, that will be a different story.  I did not stand straight for 3 weeks but I had a TT w/ MR.  Tha was a really tight feeling.

I had a panni done this past monday...I too was more nervous, but I'm doing fine.  You are getting more extensive work (lucky you!!)  But you will be fine.  The drains do not bother me the way I thought they souwd- they do pull a bit and both are right anout the slit of my gina...today, I am getting real itchy..I know that is a good sign as the wounds are healing and I don;t mind the binder wither, infact without it for the short moments I shower I feel naked adn weird.  I took off 4-6 weeks only because thats what my short term disability allows - I am a social service director but I am thinking that after week 4 start part time, unless the weather cooperates adn they are nice days, in that case I will sunbath!  The one thing the nurse told me is try not to walk straight and I agree with her..I walk with a small huntch adn I also ahve been sleeping in a recliner..I cannot get omfortable in bed yet.  Good luck and keep me posted!!  I will add you as a friend!  Monica
