was wondering how your results were. i'm down 130 pounds and i have about 40 more to go and the only thing i'm suffering from is saggy thighs (most of my weight was in my thighs so i m guessin that why?) but it SOOOOO hard to find info on it seems it like nobody really get them or something. i look though google and i wasn't very happy with the few pics i did find of the after there was like maybe one or two where the thighs actully look nice and slim and then some werent so or seem more lumpy to me. Also how do you really know it loose skin or just more fat you need to rid your body of i'm hoping the last 40 comes frm my thighs and then maybe i just need to get them shaped and take off the skin??? maybe i don't know. some input would do as i debate on what to do with my thighs next also will it better if i wait till i losoe the last 40 since i suppose that a quite a bit to lose. thanks so much

I've always had big thighs and probably always will, now they are just more muscular. I had mine done in late Oct. It was one of the most painful surgeries I've had but after about 2-3 weeks I was back to normal w/ the exception of the swelling. I would say it was totally worth it and would do it again. I'm by no ways perfect but from where I was it is a much bigger improvement and would do it again in a heartbeat.

I have some pics on my profile if you want to see. You'll just have to send me a friend request.

Hi Sonya,

I am planning on having a full TT and later on, a thigh lift.  I also have huge thighs and wonder how much improvement can be achieved.  I have lost over 270lbs from my highest weight.. most of it carried on my lower half.  I would love to be able to see your pictures.. thanks in advance.

Toni

You should definitely finish losing your weight before you have a thigh lift and it's recommended that your weight is stable for several months. If you still have some fat left in that area, liposuction can be done at the same time as the lift. I had my inner thighs done and am very happy with my results. I have a picture on my profile as well.

Yeah, my surgeon said it is the worst surgery for people.  Because in the thighs you tend to have a few more problems that other surgeries.  In fact, after reading some information online I'm not sure if I really want it or not.

I would wait till I hit my goal weight or you could have more loose skin . I was a pear shape before and my thighs were lumps of skin when I hit goal. While I am not completely satisfied with my results I look so much better even with the long scar. I did not think the surgery was that painful and recovered quickly and without a lot of swelling. I may have a revision at some point in the future but if not I am still better off than before.

renee your thigh lift looks great! i'm just worry mines might not be. what i'm saying is if your thigh aent really big in the frist place then the thigh lift to me look better in the sense they look like slimmer thighs. so i guess at this point i have to wait till i get to goal to see what they look like cuz it seems my thigh are the only thing on me still kinda fat. so again i have 40 more pounds to go so hopful they will shrink some more and then i can decide. i'm 25 years old and i have never wore shorts at all in my twenty's it so sad and i live next to the beach  and be nice to wear a dress above the knee . i have long thighs and that is were all my height  (5'8) is so it will be hard to hide flabby thighs. anyway at this point there causing me such grief . we shall see.
thanks so much ladies.

Well I can give you first hand knowledge I did my thigh lift on dec 15th this year it was not a big deal but I did not do a full cut down my leg. I went back to work in 3weeks and am fine. I would have liked to take of more skin but could not unless I did incision running down my leg. I have done  arm lift lower body lift and breast lift with implants none of these has been that bad to be honest. My thighs dont look much different to me but everyone else says they do,the main thing is all loose skin is gone.

I had mine done a week and a half ago.  I have to say that the results are less than desirable at this point.  I had my post op appt yesterday and the surgeon told me that he knew I would not be happy and that most peoples expectations on their thighs are not met but I understood what he was saying.  He did liposuction and a medial thigh lift.  If they do too much you get a lot more rippling. Of course I still have a ton of bruising so I am holding out my final decision until I am completely healed.

Yes, this is the most uncomfortable of anything I have had done (arm lift, tt, breast reduction and thighs) but not horrible.  It just feels like you worked out after not having worked out for years.  You walk like you have been riding a horse.  Ha Ha.  Like I said I am a week and a half out and I am back to my normal routine for the most part.  I wouldn't want to go running but I can do most anything.

I also had a breast reduction/lift last week and my results there are fabulous so I guess since I am thrilled with the breasts I can deal better with the poor expectations on the thighs.  I can tell that the extra flabby skin is gone but now I have some weird rippling that I hope might relax over time.  I can deal.  It's not like I am a spring chicken and want to wear short shorts.  I just wanted my jeans to fit better and I think they will.

M.E.
ps.  Good Luck in whatever decision you make.
