Dr. Younai or Dr. Katzen?? Anybody use them?

Has anyone had PS with either of these doctors?  Dr. Sean Younai in Encino/Beverly Hills or Dr. Katzen in Beverly Hills?  If so, were you satisfied with your results? Can you share a little of your experience with them please?

Dr Katzen did my LBL, brachio, breast life w/ aug, and will be doing my medial thigh lift next month (!).  I have some pics on my profile that you should be able to see.  I love Dr. Katzen.  He is very professional and caring.  I trust him 100% (obviously!..lol) .  Good luck!

I have a friend who had a really bad experience with Dr. Katzen...

As I understand it, his office stopped taking her insurance right before her tummy tuck. No one told her that, he went ahead and did her surgery and she ended up with a $7000 bill.. That was upsetting enough for her.. but it gets worse.

She ended up with a terrible infection. This went on for months. She had a gaping hole in her stomach full of rotting skin. She had an anchor cut and the infection was right down the middle of her stomach. She asked him for help several times but he couldn't seem to find the right medicines to get it under control.

Because of the problems she had, she asked him to write off the cost of her surgery (she has a terrible scar and was very sick for several months)... he told her no and turned her into collections.

I'm sure he's got plenty of examples of great results, but that was her experience.

wow, this is really scary.  All I needed to hear.  I will not be going there.  Thank you so much for the heads up.

PS  How is your friend doing now?  Is she doing better I hope.

She's fine now, health wise. She's got a terrible scar that's probably 6 or more inches long and 3 or 4 inches wide from having an open infection that had to be packed daily for several months. I'm sure she's glad not to have the extra hanging skin but she's certainly not "happy" with her results at all.

Wow, that's hard to believe about Dr. Katzen. He was my surgeon I used twice and I love my results. He and his staff were wonderful. I highly recommend him. He's compassionate, caring, a true professional.

Wow, that amazing because I used Dr. Katzen 3 times and have no problems what so ever.  I had a TT w/MR, bottom lift with implants which is a difficult surgery to say the least.  I am sorry that your friend had a such a hard time.  And I am glad she is better.  My insurance paid after the fact.  I was lucky to have some "pin money" tucked away.  I feel very blessed to have had Dr. Katzen.  He was caring and I had no problem with the office staff.  I would recommend him but I would also tell you to get at least 3 to 4  consultations before making any decision for yourself.  Good luck with your choices!!

Good luck on your other consults.  Be sure that you also check your doctor's with the online "rate your doctor" site.  This is from the community but you can also check the board of medical assurance (I think that is the correct term....it has been a while since I have had to check on a doc's professional history).  This site will help guide you as well.  Keep us informed.  Love your Bari doc too.
