Okay I've had 3 c-sections, 1 hiatal hernia repair, and gastric bypass surgery twice because of complications. So in comparison how bad is the pain from a TT and a breast lift at the same time?  I'm getting very nervous about the pain part of the surgery.  Thanks for any and all replys.

I've never had a C-section but I had gallbladder surgery and RNY before my LBL. I had my LBL & brachio at the same time and really didn't have much pain from either. The worst part of the LBL was the muscle tightening that they did. That only hurt when I was throwing up or had to sneeze. I had a BL/BA along w/ my thighs, the pain from the BL/BA was nothing, didn't have any pain at all but maybe it was because the thighs hurt so bad.  I'd have to say that out of all the surgeries I had the gallbladder was probably the worst pain (other than the MTL).

However each person is different w/ the pain that they feel during their recovery of each surgery. Some will say they had a hard time from their RNY and nothing for their gallbladder. Others will have a much harder time w/ the TT than others. Guess it all depends on the person, surgeon, pain tolerence, etc. But all in all the results from the TT/LBL are well worth the pain that you go thru.

Sonya,
Thanks for the response and oh yeah I got my gall bladder remover about 18 days after my last c-section.  I'd say that was alot of pain but only for about 3 days before I started feeling better.  The Dr. will be tightening the muscles and doing some lipo too I'm just hoping I will get by on tylenol because most everything else makes me sick.

I had an Anchor Cut TT and breast lift done at same time last Sept. It was one of the easiest procedures I've had.
After the first day I had very little pain...just kind of uncomfortable. (no pain with the breasts)
Just have to move slowly and carefully so you don't stretch or strain the muscle that get tightened.
Don't be nervous...I was so worried about it and it turned out the be nothing.

2 days post-op when I saw my surgeon I told him I was ready to do the next procedure...LOL

Best wishes on your surgery and recovery...I hope it goes nice and easy for you!!

You know, I don't consider myself a "baby"; I had natural childbirth and didn't even fill my Rx pain meds when I had my RNY, small bowel obstruction and mesenteric hernia repairs.

This extended TT, scar revision, and breast lift is KICKING MY BUTT!

It's not even so much that it HURTS; I took no pain meds while at the surgery center. But the muscle tighting is SO UNCOMFORTALBE...and the swelling makes me feel like I'm gonna POP. I really don't want to do anything but sit in the recliner or lie on the couch! Actually, I felt like the first TWO weeks were easier than the last two weeks!!

All I can say is "I better be all better by my vacation mid-June....'cuz I"m going SCUBA diving"!!

My open DS was worse than my LBL for sure. It might be more comparable to my csections if I remember correctly. The muscle tightness will linger for a long time but not painful.
