Questions on Body Contouring Surgery.

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I'm just starting to research more on this type of surgery.
I would like to know the  pros and cons from anyone that had this surgery.
Anyone use a Dr in Louisiana?  If so, who?
What all procedures does the body conturing include?
How many procedures can you have at once?  What is recommended?
What is the recovery period?
HOW MUCH MONEY are we talking about?

Thank you in advance to anyone that can help!  If anyone else has other tips or suggestions, please post them.

I haven't had my surgeries yet but I'm scheduled.  You can see what I'm having done and when in my siggy.

Pros and cons - I'll leave to those who have had it already.

Each doctor is going to recommend different things based on your needs - what I did was found through the Find a Surgeon link here a surgeon in my area.  Reviewed their website, looked specifically at the before/after pictures to see the results others have had.

Once I knew procedure names, I looked for other surgeons and looked at what their specialties were.  If they didn't mention or didn't have a lot of before/after pics of body contouring, then I didn't consider a consult with them.  I ended up staying with the surgeon I found through here.

Recovery period - it's going be basically based on how you respond.  For work purposes, I'm doing mine somewhat close together.  My surgeon told me that after the second one, I could return to work in two weeks, in theory.  Since my job requires a lot of travel he wants me to hold off another two weeks.

Cost - will vary depending on the area you live in and what you're having done.  Mine will be the equivelent of a really nice car.

First thing I would do is look in the newspaper and yellow pages for surgeons that give free consults.  Go to a couple of these and to get a frame of reference.  Then you can start looking at websites to understand the terms and what  issues the individual procedures can address.    If you are going to be using insurance then call your insurance company to get a list of providers and then you can widdle that list down by finding out which surgeons are very experienced in post bariatric reconstruction.  You need a specialist;  not just any plastic surgeon can do a good job with us.  If you are going to be self pay you may want to consider one of the resident training programs.  Many offer reduced fees.
