Looks like August will be the time for my surgery

I went to my consult.  Looks like I'll be having a Tummy Tuck and he's going to do an incision going up and down my abdomen wall to tighten that part of my stomach as well.  They are submitting everything to the insurance company but he said in working with Aetna with the problems I have had with rashes and the size of my panel that he's almost positive it will be approved.  

So has anyone not only had the hip to hip line have the up and down line on your abdomen?

Yep, I got that cut, primarily because I wanted to have my bypass/bowel obstruction/hernia scar revised but it does also allow for more muscle tightening.

Let me tell you, it is TIGHT!! I'm only 4 weeks out though and doctor assures me it will loosen up a bit over time.

How high and low is the cut?  I'm just curious since I have not met anyone who has that cut as well.  They just have the normal hip to hip.  He wants to get rid of some additional hanging skin and he pulled how tight it would be..I was like wow. 

I'm not really sure how high the cut would be under normal cir****tances. since they were revising my old scar, mine goes as high as that one went.......which is HIGH, all the way up to my breasts almost!

Maybe start another thread asking "how high does the anchor cut TT scar go"; you'll get some responses to that, I'm sure.

Please keep us posted on whether Aetna approves it. I have Aetna too. I've only gone to one PS so far and he said insurance co's are declining everything because of the health care debate going on.

I will.  I know that he said he's had aetna patients in the past couple of weeks get approved.  Its weird I've looked at different peoples photos of their before and I have to say I haven't seen anyone with a panni as large as mine yet.  Other than one guy who had a very very very large one.  

I've done so much research and I can't seem to find someone similar.  Mine litterally hangs to almost mid thighs.  Does anyone know anyone that has one that has had the surgery?
