HELLO EVERYONE! I HOPE ALL IS WELL.
?
I AM GOING TODAY TO MY PCP TO SEE IS IF WE CAN GET THE BALL ROLLING FOR INSURANCE TO CONSIDER A BREAST REDUCTION? AND A TUMMY TUCK. THE INSURANCE SAYS THEY WOULD CONSIDER IF WE CAN SUPPLY THEM WITH A LMN FOR BOTH. IF NOT I WILL JUST HAVE TO SAVE AND GET IT DONE WITH OUT INSURANCE, BUT I HOPE THEY WILL.

I HAVE ALREADY TALKED WITH MY WEIGHT LOSS SURGEON ABOUT THIS AND HE ALSO DOES RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY AFTER WEIGHTLOSS SO THATS GOOD. I SEE HIM FOR A CONSULT IN JULY.

I WANT TO HAVE THE REDUCTION AND LIFT DUE TO MY BACK IS NOW GIVING ME SOME PROBLEMS AND WELL YOU ALL KNOW WHY I NEED TO HAVE THE TUMMY TUCK. IF YOU DONT KEEP THAT SKIN CLEAN AND DRY YOU HAVE A PROBLEM =(.

PLEASE TELL ME IF YOU HAVE ANY ADVISE AND EXPERIENCE IN THIS PROCESS AND PROCEDURES. PICS WOULD BE GREAT ALSO.

THANKS EVERYONE!!!!!!!

P.S. I AM A DDD TO A SNUG DD AND I AM THINKING OF GOING TO A SNUG C TO A D SIZE.

You can read the articles Dr. Lomonaco has written on getting insurance approval on his website.  Perhaps that will give you a clue on how to get the ball started and what sort of documentation is needed.    http://www.drlomonaco.com/about-houston-cosmetic-surgery.sht ml  Look under patient resources.

Thank you so much.
I went to the doctor today and she agreed that I need the breast reduction, but the tummy tuck was a different story. She said I didn't have a persistent infection that would make me a good confidant so I will prob have to come out of pocket on the tummy tuck, but the LMN will be submitted for the breast reduction in three months after I meet my insurance criteria. This is good news and I hope the insurance will approve it.

Now all I do is wait and save up money. I plan on doing it all at once. One other obstacle I am going to come across is work. I can only take 2 weeks off. This is company policy and I have to use my paid time off to do so. I plan on doing this next year when I have enough PTO saved up.

Some insurance carriers also look at how far the panni hangs.  So that might be something for you to look into.

Also if cost is a factor you might want to look into one of the resident training programs. There is a program at Emory in Atlanta and the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.  You could check with the individual program to determine if they have a reduced cost option.  If neither of these do you could check on the programs in neighboring states.  Let me know if you want the contact information.

I was just going to add that I would have the procedures done by a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. Best of luck to you!

Thank you all so much. Any advise is good advise. I will have to check into those programs, but I also need to make sure my doctor is part of that facility. I need to shed more weight before July. I hope to lose 20 to 30lbs before then and thats pushing it, lol.
