Breast Aug-Lift Correction Surgery

Hi all,

If you've been around longer than 6 months, you probably remember me. I've had an entire body lift done in 2 stages. I had my lower body lift, tummy tuck, butt aug, thigh lift (to the knees), and contouring lipo done in Apr 2009. I had a couple scar corrections, more tissue off of my thighs, my arms (to my elbows), chest, breast lift w/ aug (gummy implants) and bra fat done in Oct 2009.

Now I have had scar tissue formed with my breast implants and the surgeon wants to go in to correct the scar tissue and also put reinforcement sutures (internal bra) to help support the implants. He also wants to take a bit more skin off my breast (he did the donut cut last time to save me from the anchor cut last time, he thinks he can do the correction the same way too).

My question is: for those of you who had ONLY breast lift/aug (or repair to this) procedures without other procedures at the same time- how long did you stay in the hospital (outpatient?) - how long before you went back to work?

Hi Cass....long time no see.....

I had just a breast reduction w/lift in Nov 2007 (no implants).  It was a piece of cake.  I had it done on Thurs and was fine to go to work on Monday (I just could not lift anything heavier than a container of milk). Truly was the easiest of all the procedures I've had done.

Best wishes

Woohoo! That's what I was hoping to hear. I figure compared to arms, legs, chest, tummy - everything, that JUST breasts should be a breeze. My surgery is going to be June 2nd (wednesday) and I'm hoping to go back to work on Monday or Tuesday.

Based on my experience I'd say you'd be fine.  A friend in California had her reduction done on a Weds and went back to work the following week too.....

Best wishes with the procedure.

I had a breast lift done on March 11 and I could have gone back to work that following Monday (3 days later) but it was spring break. You will be swollen but it does not restrict you. Good luck
