arm lift questions???
Hi there,
I have had a really tough and rough time with my arms. My scars are very wide, I still have big arms because with the widened scar the skin stretched and I am now on round 3 to fix them. With that said, I would do it again......because here is the thing.
1. With flabby nasty arms, I didn't wear short sleeves.
2. With yucky scars (which I am having fixed), I can wear long sleeves and my arms are way smaller.
Tha pain was bad for me, but which surgery isn't?
I would do it!

The arm lift wasn't bad. The most irritating part of the whole thing for me was the arm pits. I had to keep them apart for a bit so the incisions wouldn't rub but it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. My incisions look good but I am still self conscious about them so I cover them up while I am at work but that's it. The scars will fade in time and my arms look so much better than the saggy skin for sure.

It was a good trade off for me. I lost the flab and gained some well concealed scars and expanded my wardrobe to the extreme! I am loving being able to wear tank tops and sleeveless tops this summer. Before, I was too self conscious. Of all of my procedures the arms were the least painful. I have some pictures on my profile if you care to look.

I had my arms done the end of Feb. and I defintely would do it again. Scar or no scar. I now can wear sleeveless tops in the summer. Before this I was so self conscious of my arms. In time from what I have heard the scar fades and it isnt even as noticeable. The pain was basically nothing at all. The thighs were probaly the most painful to me. Good luck in what you decide. Gail
I would do it again in a heartbeat. The scar is so much easier to take than the flabby arms. It was not a bad surgery at all. By the time I got out of the hospital I was completely self sufficient. I just had to stay within the lifting restrictions and such. I did develop some issues. I had a pretty bad staph infection in one of my arms and ended up back in the hospital and I had some issues and I had to do physical therapy. But it was well worth it.

I couldn't be happier with my arm lift! It was an easy recovery and virtually pain-free. My scars are thin and with each passing week they are fading more and more. I would do it again definately! I will add you as a friend so you can view my pre and post op photos. It was SO worth it. I actually bought tank tops and short sleeved shirts to wear for the summer! It's amazing!

I wouldn't trade my nice buff (scarred) arms for the flabby ones any day. I went so overboard buying tanks and sundresses that the price of my surgery went up. Best of all, in long sleeve shirts, my arms look so nice and the tops aren't stretched to fit all the skin post weight loss. One friend saw a pic on another website and said, "I just can't get over how great your arms look" in a yellow long sleeve shirt. She was right. They look great and the scars are way worth it.
And now after 2 months of weight training, I've got the cutest biceps, triceps and shoulder definitions. Who'd have guessed under all that skin was wonderful arms.
