Where do you start researching? Need FACE work !!

I'm depressed.  I think that it isn't helping that every time I look in the mirror I see my FATHER's face.  Droopy upper eyelids.  DEEP marionette lines.  DEEP nasofacial fold lines.  Hanging down jowls.  And I swear my face is gray.  I get sun...a lot of sun...but I still look gray.

All this has been unexpected.  I am a little below goal and it has been 7 months since my DS.  I lost a little over 100 lbs.

Where do I start learning about facial work and options?

Thanks.

I'm curious what you find out - I'm looking for facial work as well and have no clue how to select a surgeon.

I'm starting with my opthalmogist who does blephs and filler.  I have to wait for an eval so in the meantime I am just keeping moisturinzed, trying to stay VERY VERY hydrated and trying to remember to SMILE.

Yuck.  I hate my face.  And I used to be pretty.

I am told from a close friend, that the upper eyelids are covered by most insurances.  At least if you can prove they are interfering with your eyesight - which happens in most cases.  Just thought you might want to check it out, if you haven't already.

Yes.  They are going to do that evaluation.  I think one eye probably is and I don't think the other one is.  I wonder what insurance does in that case?  I guess I'll find out when I go for the evaluation.

Thanks for that heads up tho.  I bet a lot of folks don't know that.

I found out that word of mouth is the best advertisement.  Sometimes the ones that pay the most for advertising are NOT the best.  If you hear the doc's name multiple times as a referral you can pretty much bet that he or she is good.  The good ones usually don't need to advertise.  That is how I found mine.  I asked for five years off and on because I knew that I would get a face lift one day.  Mine is scheduled for December.  I cannot wait.
