You know, I had pretty extensive lipo back in 2001.  I had inner and outer thighs along with hips and flanks done, then 2 weeks later went back and had tummy and arms done.  Now, I had no skin removal so I don't know if that's what makes the difference, but for me it wans't that bad at all.  I had very little swelling, but I also had my husband massage all the areas every night once the initial tenderness was gone.  And I had weekly professional massages starting about 4 weeks out for at least 2 months.  The results were great!  I was back at the gym in 2 weeks.  I was a lot younger too, so...

I had some lipo with my LBL and a little with my anchor cut revision a few weeks ago and the pain was not bad for me either.  Well nothing more than the soreness I was experiencing from the other stuff.  Now I didn't do my back and that seems to be one of the areas that can be bothersome.  Also, I really think it depends on how much lipo is done and the location. High volume lipo can really be more painful than just getting a few hundred cc's lipod.  I'm hoping to have my back lipod too in the future and I have a feeling I may not be so lucky!
