Clothes after TT

I had a TT 3.5 months ago.  Wore the compression garmets 24/7.  I was directed to not wear them now.  My thighs are much bigger...I weigh about 5 pounds more  but can not get into my skirts or pants pre surgery.  This is making me nuts, paraniod.  I feel like I must go on some crash diet to get my thighs to pre-surgery weight.  HELP!!  Needing reasurance.  Is this common??  What can I do to reduce my thighs/butt.  I have always had a 5 pound play and it has never effected my clothes.  Would reducing calories help?  I feel like I did before I had my RNY...obsessed about my weight.  I am afraid it is the beginning of weight gain.  What do you do to get weight off?

your thighs ared swollen, they will go down, when u wear the compression garments it keeps the fluid from building up in your belly well it has to go somewhere. Gravity  - it goes down, your body will absorb the fluid 5 lbs could even be fluid, cut back on your salt intake, 5 lbs does not effect your size. I know what u mean cause I weigh myself every day & I have a 5lb play also & when I get to that 5 lb gain I watch & go back down I m crazy about my weight I have seeen so many people gain it back. I do not want to ever gainitback & I have spent to much money in PS to gain weight back.
to get the weight off go back to basics - maybe for a day or 2 to jump start do full liqs only, up your protein  & watch the CARB monsters NO SUGAR of course andon day 3 introduce soft protein and then go back to normal CUT OUT ALL PRETZELS & GOLDFISH, that is my trigger
good luck you will be fine

I agree with the previous post.  You are swollen, but the good thing is it will go away eventually.  I had my tt 8 months ago and revision 2 months ago and some days I swell beyond belief.

My guess would be that your thighs are still swollen.
I would put the compression garment back on.  It will not hurt you wearing it...it can only help.

Swelling varies from person to person and even with each surgery for an individual.  I had very little swelling after my TT, a little more after my LBL, NONE with my brachioplasy, and still having swelling issues after my inner thigh surgery last month.  The compression garment ALWAYS helps reduce the swelling for me.

Personally I would advise you to NOT go on a crash diet....you won't lose it in your thighs and you will probably cause the skin to loosen again and you don't want that.

I hope you get relief soon.....go ahead and get into the garment...I bet it will help.
FYI - I am wearing compression hose AND a compression garment to get the swelling out of my calfs and ankles post-op.  UGH....a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do...

Best wishes!

I would see my PS before anything. Dieting or cutting out sugar may help get rid of fluid, but I would want to make sure its normal post op fluid or is it lymph buildup/blockage from your garment being too snug. There is a difference. Putting it back on could mean more problems. Please seek advice from your PS. Good luck!
