2 topics - buttock auto-augmentation and Dr. Basu in Houston

I had my first consult with a PS today.  It went really well.  Every second of being nude was a nightmare though.  But I survived :)

One thing the doc talked about buttock auto-augmentation.  I have no butt.  Even when I was big I had no butt. So the idea of wearing pants or panties that dont sag in the butt is really appealing.  So I was wondering what people thought of theirs?  How was the pain?  Was it worth it?

Secondly, I saw Dr. Basu here in Houston.  I really liked him and the office and felt comfortable with him.  He has done alot of these surgeries and seems confident.  I like his before and afters too.  But I was wondering if anyone used him and what they thought of him and the entire process?  You can message me if you rather, or post here.

Thanks!!
Missy

I really liked Dr Basu when I met with him. I met him at an OH conference and then had a one on one consult with him in his office. He really does seem to be a skilled surgeon and has experience with weight loss patients. He was one of my top 3 choices of surgeons.

I had an auto augmentation and am SOOO happy I did it. I did not want to have a flat butt that I'm sure I would have had after my LBL. The pain wasn't bad at all. I'm not sure how much more pain it was had I just done your basic LBL. The area stays numb for a while so it's not like you have much sensation there anyway. Even if the pain would have been horrible it still would have been worth the results in my opinion. I like how I fill out the seats of my pants. Not too big and not too small.

Good luck,

I had the auto-augmentation and I love it.  My surgeon told me that if I didn't have it I would not be able to keep my pants up my butt would so flat!  LOL

The pain wasn't awful and the scars are just a faint line now.

What is done in an auto-aug? Is it fat grafting or an implant? I didn't have anything done to my butt with my LBL and the top of my butt is full but the lower portion is a little flatter than I like.

With the procedure I had done the tissue that would normally be discarded during the back portion of the LBL is "turned" and repositioned to add shape to the top of the buttocks.  Or at least that is how I understand it.

I agree with what Red said, that's what my PS did. He removed the skin, but kept the tissue and blood vessels and turned it down to create more tissue in the buttocks area. The pain is tolerable, it feels like I am bruised all over my butt area and I am having trouble sitting in any postion for any time. but it's getting better every day. I'm 11 days post op.

Thanks ladies for answering my question. When I would read it mentioned in a post, I had always wondered what auto-aug was exactly. Much appreiciated!
