36 hours until surgery
I know how you are feeling. I am 9 days out and still have drains and lots of bruising/swelling. Just be patient and know it will get better
Patience is hard to have when you look in the mirror and wonder if you will ever look "normal" again. I quit taking my pain meds during the day after one week and only take them at night. The drains are a pain but a necessity. Let us know how you are doing as soon as your able and you will be fine.

Best to you for your surgery and recovery! I will keep you in my prayers. All the advice already posted is priceless. Stay on top of the pain, take stool softeners, and rest. I look forward to hearing how you love your new tummy!
