Questions about PS in Mexico

Hi all,
I am new to this forum and I am trying to get as much information about PS in Mexico so I can convince my family that this might be a good option for me.   I need my arms, breasts, abdomen, and thighs done.  I've had a couple of consults locally for the panni/abdominoplasty and I am looking at 10k as my insurance has denied me already and I have had no issues with skin rashes, so I don't have that to fall back on.

Anyways,  I was just hoping some of you who have gone to Mexico might share your experiences.  How were the facilities?  The docs?  The travel, after surgery?  Was it scary going down to Mexico?  Did you bring someon with you?  How was your recovery?  any complications?  any regrets?  I'd love to hear the good, bad, indifferent, etc!  I've been reading here on OH for years, but I suppose I'd just like more information before I approach my parents to ask them to cosign a loan for me....I have to have all the answers to their questions.

Feel free to pm me if you don't want to share on this public forum.
Thank you to EVERYONE who answers!
Ruth

Hi, you came to the right place.
I just got back from Monterrey, where as you do your research you will see his name pop up most often, Dr Sauceda, did my 1st roung of PS.
I had a neck, face, and arm lift. I am very pleased with everything and can't recomend Dr. S enough.
He has his own message board on OH called  Dr. Sauceda's Patients check it out.
You will not be disappointed!!!!

Here is the link to Dr. Sauceda's page. One of his patients created it. Dr. Sauceda did a full thigh lift, breast lift w/ aug, full arm lift and anchor cut tummy tuck on me last month. I am really thrilled with the results and had SUCH an amazing experience in Monterrey, Mexico. Check out the boards, there are lots of people that have used him that are very happy. Let me know if you have any more specific questions.

My personal opinion is stick with a good certified PS here in the states. Having any kind of surgery is risky and why would you want to risk that in another country? I have heard many horror stories from people who have gone to Mexico for PS just to save money, and they certainly got what they paid for. In the end they ended up spending more for all the corrections they needed to get done back home.

It's just better to be safe than sorry and this is a big physical investment as well as a financial one.

Take care and good luck with whoever you choose.

It all depends on your Dr.  Dr. Sauceda has more a lot of experience and Dr.s here in the states have actually commented on the nice work he does.  It is less expensive but the more important thing is that he truely cares about his patients and isn't in it just for money.  Take a look at the forum about him.  People are thrilled.

i went to cosmed in mexico last april i had 3 surgeries everything went great, i am going back in june to have more done, i felt safer in mexico for the 2 weeks i was there than i did in 1 night in san diego. the fascility and doctors were very proffesional and clean stayed at a 5 star hotel for hardly nothing. i will keep going till i am finished, because i can not afford the usa doctors.
