Revision surgery next week and now I'm sick - should I reschedule?

I had an extended tt on 2/22 with an augmentation. My PS won't go over 5 hours of surgery so he ended up not having time to do my lift. I also have some dog ears that he wanted to fix so I decided to go ahead and complete the LBL and do my backside. So, I'm doing the back side, the lift and some lipo on my little muffin top since he didn't do the anchor cut and some lipo on my outer thighs.

On Sunday I got sick with a fever and bad cough. I got an antibiotic which I do think has helped but my cough is pretty bad. I have asthma so it always settles and lasts forever. I just don't know if I should cancel my surgery or not. My PS is out of town until MOnday so I can't have him check me out beforehand. I'm so frustrated that I may have to cancel. What would you do? I can't imagine coughing after having surgery. I know I won't have the muscles like last time, but I suspect it'd still hurt. Seriously, would you cancel if you were me? I have all my help lined up for next week so it'll be hard to get it all coordinated again anytime soon.

Only you can answer...what does your gut tell you?...just having the need to ask the question might give you insight or confirmation to what you all ready know about yourself and your health.  GOOD LUCK with the decision and GOOD LUCK with surgery when it does happen.

I would wait a few more days  after the antibiotics start to kick in  approx 3 days  you might be back to good health.  JMO..or reschedule for the next week if that is a possiblity.  Best Wishes!

Personally I would wait but this is something you must ask your surgeon.
What if you get there the morning of surgery and they discover you are sick and send you home.  Not only a wasted trip but they might charge you since they can't re-book the surgery time....don't forget bottom line it is a business they are running time is money.

Don't forget surgery is major trauma on the body and it needs to be at full strength to heal...you'll be starting behind the 8 ball with your cold/fever, etc.  This could hinder your healing and impact your results.

Best wishes!
